[origin: EP0424708A2] An automatic floor seal for a door comprises an elongated sealing body (5) which is arranged at least partly in a guide profile (1), extends along the same and is displaceable, substantially parallel to itself, from a position raised from the floor (9) to a position resting sealingly on the floor (9). An actuating rod (40) projects laterally beyond the contour of the door wing when the latter is opened, comes to bear on the door frame as the closed position of the door wing is approached and can be pushed into the guide profile (1) when the door wing is closed further, so as to displace the sealing body (5) towards the floor (9). An energy accumulator in the form of a spring (19) is provided, which can be loaded by the pushing-in and by means of which the sealing body (5) can be displaced in the final moment of closure towards the floor (9). <IMAGE>
