[origin: EP0425801A1] In the control linkage of a centrifugal governor of a fuel injection pump (15), the transmission length of the inserted adjusting element (19) between the centrifugal weights (14) and the delivery feed adjustment member (32) is variable, the linking of a switch lever (62) designed as a starting delivery disengaging lever also being influenced at the same time. To this end an actuating element (58), via which a stop bolt (53) connected to the switch lever (62) can be axially displaced, has locking teeth (68) which under the frictional force of a slip spring (36) engages with a counter toothing (69) of a supporting section (44) fitted in the adjusting element (19) so that it cannot rotate, thereby forming a locking device (67). By means of a rotary movement imparted to the actuating element (58) a sensitive self-locking positioning of the switch lever (62) is achieved, isolated from the linking of the control linkage (24) and the centrifugal weights (14), and a precisely adjustable centrifugal governor is created. <IMAGE>
