Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH03159744A] PURPOSE: To enable adjusting of a clamping force on a plate cylinder and automatic after-clamping of the plate cylinder, uniformly across the entire width of the plate cylinder, and enable the described adjusting and after-clamping to be performed especially in a large-size printing press by uplifting the free end part of a freely gyrating clamping lever from a stopper bolt, centered around a pertinent rotary hinge by tightly contracting a spring, when moving a pressure strip from a specified position through a control device. CONSTITUTION: As soon as the end part of a forward printing plate is clamped in a clamping device 22, a plate cylinder is rotated only once in order to fit the printing plate. Next, the following end part of the printing plate is clamped in a clamping device 21. In a first stage, clamping levers 15, 16 press a pressure strip 9 to a cylinder groove wall. In a final stage, the free end parts of the clamping levers 15, 16 are uplifted from a stopper bolt, centered around a rotary hinge 18, by tightly contracting a spring 12 at P1 , when moving the pressure strip 18 forward.
