[origin: EP0426008A1] In the facade construction described, frameless insulating glazing is fixed to facade-supporting profiles via supporting seals (12). In this arrangement, auxiliary profiles (32) are arranged between the mutually opposite edge regions (22) of adjacent outer panes of the glazing (14). The auxiliary profiles (32) keep the space (24) between opposite seals (13) of the glazing (14) free by bridging the gap between the mutually opposite edge regions (22). The auxiliary profiles (32) are made resilient or flexible perpendicularly to their profile longitudinal axis. Vapour pressure equalising and draining openings are made in the outer wall of auxiliary profiles arranged in vertical joints. <IMAGE>
