[origin: EP0426524A2] This device (13) is adapted to be fitted to one end of the telescopic rod (1); it comprises a first flat section (14) extending towards the window (6) and provided at its end with a surface (17) for fixing on the frame (9) of the window, a second flat section (15) extending in a direction perpendicular to the first section (14) and provided at its bottom end with a point of bearing on the supporting window frame located below the fixing surface (17) and adapted to bear on the chassis (9), and a third flat section (16) extending upwards in the position of use and in a direction parallel to the said first flat section; when the fixing element (13) is in the position of use, the upper end of the flat section (16), adapted to be fixed to the end of the rod, is located at a level higher than that of the said fixing surface (17) of the first flat section (14), and the third section (16) is laterally offset beyond the vertical edge of the window. The design of the fastening device (13) allows the convenient fitting of spring loaded telescopic curtain rods simply by applying pressure to them. <IMAGE>
