[origin: US5067146A] An x-ray radiator has an x-ray tube disposed in a coolant-filled housing formed by a tank and an insertable closure for the tank. The x-ray tube is held in a tube carrier, which is mounted to the insertable closure so that the position of the tube carrier, and thus of the x-ray tube, can be adjusted relative to the insertable closure.
