Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0426934A2] In the pressing machine according to the invention, the upper and/or lower form plate (1,6) is designed as a hollow body, so that the steam supply can take place through one form plate and the steam suction simultaneously or offset in time through the other form plate respectively. A continuous steam flow can be produced with an optimum adaptation of temperature to the material (21) to be pressed. In a preferred embodiment there are, furthermore, sensors (19) for the steam pressure, moisture and/or temperature, the measured values of which can be fed to a computer for the electronic control (15). The invention makes it unnecessary to heat the form plates (1,6), and therefore a high energy saving is also achieved. <IMAGE>
