[origin: US5022866A] An electrical plug and socket connector with a U-shaped locking hoop has cylindrical rollers provided at the side parts and the overlapping parts of the locking hoop. The rollers are provided with a central slot and an axle and are snapped into the side parts. The attachment of the locking hoop to one plug and socket connector half is such that the locking hoop can be snapped onto the bearing pins of the plug and socket connector half.

Für eine Elektrische Steckverbindung mit U-förmigem Verriegelungsbügel wird vorgeschlagen, an den Seiten- bzw. Übergreifteilen der Verriegelungsbügel walzenförmige Rollen vorzusehen. Die Rollen sind dabei mit einem mittleren Schlitz und einer Achse versehen und sind in die Seitenteile eingerastet. Es wird weiterhin vorgeschlagen, die Befestigung der Verriegelungsbügel an einer Steckverbindungshälfte so auszubilden, daß der Verriegelungsbügel auf Lagerzapfen der Steckverbindungshälfte aufrastbar ist.
