[origin: EP0427126A1] A device (1) for flying band change consists of an unwinding station (3) and an unwinding station (4) which are arranged left and right of a band changer (2). A new band (5) and, respectively, a band (6) which is running out are guided together from the unwinding stations in the band changer (2) in a V-shaped manner from top to bottom through channels (26, 27) in a pressure roller unit (9). The band changer (2) moreover has rotational cross cutters (19, 20) for cutting the bands (5) and (6).
