The present invention relates to a railway carriage body comprising, in the region of the top, two longitudinal members (20) connected by cross-members (40); in the region of the floor, two longitudinal members (10) connected, in the central part (A) of the body, by means of a floor (11); in the region of the flanks, on each side of the door apertures, a vertical member (30) connecting a top longitudinal member (20) and a floor longitudinal member (10), characterised in that each vertical member (30) consists of a profile of large cross-section, these profiles themselves alone forming the working structure in the region of the flanks. <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne une caisse de voitures ferroviaires comportant, au niveau du pavillon, deux longerons (20) reliés par des traverses (40), au niveau du plancher, deux longerons (10) reliés, dans la partie centrale (A) de la caisse, par un plancher (11), au niveau des flancs, de chaque côté des ouvertures de portes, un montant (30) reliant un longeron de pavillon (20) et un longeron de plancher (10), caractérisée en ce que chaque montant (30) est constitué d'un profilé de grande section, ces profilés constituant à eux seuls la structure travaillante au niveau des flancs.
