[origin: WO9011956A2] A process and a device are useful for transporting articles from a pick-up station to a depositing station and for picking up and depositing the articles by means of a vehicle (7). The articles to be transported are placed at the pick-up stations and recorded by a central computer. A transport order is then composed by the central computer (6) and transmitted to a computer unit (72) of a transport vehicle (7). The transport vehicle (7) is equipped with devices for automatic and active execution of the transport order. On completion of the transport order, the vehicle (7) reports back to central computer (6). The transported goods are deposited by category.
