[origin: EP0427918A1] The invention relates to an adhesive covering strip for window frames (4) or the like, for the purpose of covering a gap between window frame (4) and jamb (2), in which a foam strip (11) projects transversely with respect to the adhesive fastening surface (K), and proposes, to facilitate attachment of the covering strips at the building site, that the foam strip (11) be arranged in the compressed state in a channel (10) of the covering strip (6), which channel (10) is closed, on its side facing the foam projecting end, with a cover strip which maintains the compressed state of the foam strip (11) and is held at the edges by a detachable positive-engagement connection to the front-edge region of the channel walls (8, 9). <IMAGE>
