Abstract (en)
A device for sewing rubber hems to pieces of fabric is designed as a tandem machine. In a first sewing machine (26a), a rubber tape (6) is prefixed on the edge of a piece of fabric (8). During further transport, the double layer obtained thereby is folded round through 180 DEG by a metal guide plate (34). A pair of transport rollers (36, 38) draws the double layer off from the guide plate. Between the first sewing machine (26a) and a second sewing machine (26b) provided for the finish-sewing of the rubber hem, there is a deflecting roller (40) which deflects out of the horizontal the triple layer formed by folding round and consisting of fabric edge region/rubber tape/fabric fold-round region. The deflecting roller (40) is driven opposite to the direction of transport and thus ensures that, even where curved seams are concerned, the triple layer remains closed and is correctly sewn. <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung zum Nähen von Gummisäumen an Stoffstücke ist als Tandemmaschine ausgebildet. In einer ersten Nähmaschine (26a) wird ein Gummiband (6) am Rand eines Stoffstücks (8) vorfixiert. Im Zuge des Weitertransports wird die dadurch entstandene Doppellage von einem Leitblech (34) um 180° umgelegt. Ein Transportrollenpaar (36, 38) zieht die Zweifachlage von dem Leitblech ab. Zwischen der ersten Nähmaschine (26a) und einer zweiten, für das Fertignähen der Gummisaums vorgesehenen Nähmaschine (26b) ist eine Umlenkrolle (40) vorgesehen, die die durch das Umlegen gebildete Dreifachlage aus Stoff-Randbereich/Gummiband/Stoff-Umlegebereich aus der Horizontalen ablenkt. Die Umlenkrolle (40) wird gegen die Transportrichtung angetrieben und sorgt damit dafür, daß die Dreifachlage - auch bei geschwungenen Nähten - geschlossen bleibt und korrekt vernäht wird.
