Sorting device characterised in that it comprises a closed-loop travelling path which is composed of driving means (2, 3, 4) which are intersected by separators (5, 6, 7) which reset the plates (12) travelling on the travelling path to a certain separation, the loading devices (8, 9, 10) being distributed along the travelling path (1), always directly downstream of a separator (5, 6, 7), the plates (12) comprising coding means in order to receive the destination coding at the position of a loading device (13, 14, 15; 8; 9; 10) and to permit the reading of the code at the entry of the receiving device (16, 17) in order to actuate the unloading from the plate (12) and the despatching of the package to the storage area corresponding to its destination. The invention relates to the general field of the sorting of documents, letters, packages, parts or the like. <IMAGE>

Machine de tri caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un chemin de circulation en boucle se composant de moyens d'entraînement (2, 3, 4) entrecoupés par des séparateurs (5, 6, 7) qui remettent les plateaux (12) circulant dans le chemin de circulation à un certain pas, les dispositifs de chargement (8, 9, 10) étant répartis le long du chemin de circulation (1), toujours directement en aval d'un séparateur (5, 6, 7), les plateaux (12) comportant des moyens de codage pour recevoir le codage de destination au niveau d'un dispositif de chargement (13, 14, 15 ; 8; 9; 10) et permettre la lecture du code à l'entrée du dispositif de réception (16, 11) pour commander le déchargement du plateau (12) et l'envoi du colis vers le magasin correspondant à sa destination. L'invention concerne le domaine général du tri de documents, plis, colis, pièces ou analogues.
