[origin: WO9001297A1] Gripping method, for example for biopsy, characterized in that at least one of the jaws (9) of a forceps is fixed by means of a joint to the extremity of the rod (4) of a piston (2) which sealingly slides within a cylinder (1) wherein it defines a vacuum chamber (20), and in that the closure of said jaws (9) is obtained by communicating said vacuum chamber (20) with a vacuum source in order to create a vacuum which causes the piston (2) to move back and consequently bringing together the jaws. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such method.

Procédé de préhension, par exemple pour biopsie, caractérisé en ce que l'une au moins des mâchoires (9) d'une pince est fixée, au moyen d'une articulation, à l'extrémité de la tige (4) d'un piston (2) monté, avec une aptitude de coulissement étanche, dans un cylindre (1) dans lequel il délimite une chambre à vide (20), et en ce que la fermeture desdites mâchoires (9) est obtenue en mettant ladite chambre à vide (20) en relation avec une source de vide permettant de créer une dépression qui entraine le recul dudit piston (2) et le rapprochement de ces dernières. L'invention concerne également un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
