A short-wave infrared radiator having an elongated integral twin tube with an inner web which contains two subspaces, which run in the longitudinal direction, are provided with incandescent coils and are separated from one another, and bushings, sealed at the ends of said web, is intended to be capable of being heated by external connection loading alternately over its entire length or over part of its length; for this purpose, the coils are provided with centre taps which are passed to one end of the radiator via insulated internal leads on both sides of the web and are provided as connection ends. Ein kurzwelliger Infrarot-Strahler mit einem langgestreckten einstückigen Zwillingsrohr mit Innensteg, der zwei in Längsrichtung verlaufende mit Glühwendeln versehene Teilräume voneinander trennt und an seinen Enden abgedichtete Stromdurchführungen enthält, soll durch äußere Anschlußbelegung wahlweise über seine volle Länge oder eine Teillänge beheizbar sein; die Wendel sind hierzu mit Mittel-Anzapfungen versehen, die über isolierte Innen-Leitungen auf beiden Seiten des Steges zu einem Strahlerende geführt und als Anschlußenden bereitgestellt sind. Der Steg ist im Bereich eines Strahlerendes zwecks Leiterdurchführung mit einem Einschnitt versehen. <IMAGE>
