Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH03169554A] PURPOSE: To obtain an inker for controlling an ink amount desired to be distributed so that all inker rollers are remarkably slightly worn by providing at least one auxiliary roller compressible of a variable contact pressure to at least one inker roller having a plastic surface. CONSTITUTION: The inker comprises an anilox roller 1, an ink application roller 2 having a flexible surface, and an auxiliary roller 4 having a hard surface. An ink removed from an ink tray 11 by the roller 1 is first delivered to the roller 2, then delivered from the roller 2 to a plate cylinder 3. In this case, the roller 1 is scraped by using a doctor 12. In this case, at the time of transferring the ink, the ink amount delivered from one roller to the other roller or from the other roller to the one roller is related with the width of a contact area of the rollers to be brought into contact. This zone is also called a pressure zone. A sufficient printing ink is delivered from the one roller to the other roller merely by pressing the one roller to the other roller.
