The method is used for preparing a printing unit which comprises at least one inking unit with a screen roller interacting with a doctor blade, which screen roller can be coated with an exchangeable outer screen surface provided with ink-conducting cups, is driven at the speed of the forme cylinder and whose diameter in the operative state is equal to the diameter of the forme cylinder to which a printing forme has been applied. To produce the outer screen surface, the method provides for the latter to be fitted with a cup configuration which is adapted at least in some regions to the ink requirement of the corresponding regions of the printing forme and for the outer screen surface then to be inserted into the printing unit with the associated printing forme. <IMAGE>

Das Verfahren zur Druckvorbereitung eines Druckwerks, das mindestens ein Farbwerk mit einer mit einer Rakel (7) zusammenwirkenden Rasterwalze (5) umfaßt, die mit einem mit farbführenden Näpfchen versehenen, auswechselbaren Rastermantel (6) belegbar, mit Formzylinderdrehzahl angetrieben und deren Durchmesser in betriebsbereitem Zustand gleich dem Durchmesser des mit einer Druckform (3) belegten Formzylinders (2) ist, sieht vor, daß zur Herstellung des Rastermantels dieser mit einer Näpfchenkonfiguration versehen wird, die zumindest bereichsweise dem Farbbedarf der entsprechenden Bereiche der Druckform angepaßt ist und dann der Rastermantel mit der zugehörigen Druckform in das Druckwerk eingesetzt werden.
