Abstract (en)

Process for the continuous manufacture of insulating panels and other rigid elements using by-products of the papermaking industry, comprising the preparation of a dry pulp made of cellulose fibres, draining this pulp and compressing it flat to form a sheet and drying this sheet, characterised in that it comprises: a) the removal of a slurry which has a solids content lower than 10 % by weight on leaving the purification stations of papermaking works, b) mixing this slurry with a lightening product absorbing water by draining and making it easier to evaporate during subsequent drying, c) the dispersion in the slurry of a product with a high flocculating power, d) wringing and pressing into a continuous sheet in a Fourdrinier machine, e) direct drying without interposition of an intermediate cooking treatment. o

Procédé de fabrication en continu de panneaux isolants et autres éléments rigides utilisant des sous-produits de l'industrie papetière, comportant la préparation d'une pâte sèche en fibres cellulosiques, l'égouttage de cette pâte et sa compression à plat pour former une nappe et le séchage de cette nappe, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte : a) le prélèvement d'une boue ayant une teneur en matière sèche inférieure à 10 % en poids à la sortie des stations d'épuration de la papeterie, b) le mélange à cette boue d'un produit allégeant absorbant l'eau par drainage et facilitant son évaporation lors du séchage ultérieur, c) la dispersion dans la boue d'un produit à haut pouvoir floculant, d) l'essorage et le pressage en nappe continue dans une machine de Fourdrinier, e) le séchage direct sans interposition d'un traitement intermédiaire de cuisson.
