[origin: EP0429748A1] For the continuous electrolytic recovery of metals in nonhomogeneous form from a solution containing metal ions, use is made of an endless flexible titanium belt (7) as cathode area. The belt (7) is partially immersed in the solution and passes through it, being guided in the solution around a cathode roller (2) which is partially surrounded by a titanium anode (5) with an activation coating. After leaving the solution the metal deposited as a nonhomogeneous material is removed from the flexible belt by a stripper device (13). <IMAGE>
