[origin: EP0429756A2] The invention relates to a device for determining the roving pull as a measure of the roving tension between the drawing-unit outlet and the spinning flier of a slubbing machine and ensures a process-related tension of the roving 10. According to the invention, a twist transmitter 6 is arranged movably to a limited extent axially in relation to the spinning flier 1 and is connected to a permanent-magnet ring 5. The permanent-magnet ring is assigned at a distance a sensor 8 and a magnet system 9. The axial movement of the twist transmitter 6 proportional to the roving tension is detected by the sensor 8. The permanent-magnet ring 5 and the magnet system 6 generate the counterforce FM to the roving pull FV.
