In a device for the forming of a flange or the like, in particular at the end of a thin-walled metal pipe (10), having two rolls (6, 15) which form a gap (20), can be pressed against one another by means of a feed device (22, 24), are supported on one side and are assigned a driving device (30), the diameter of at least one (6) of the two rolls (6, 15) forming the roll gap (20) is so small that the end zone forming the flange can be rolled to a relatively small wall thickness with the force which can be applied by means of the feed device (22, 24). On the side facing away from the roll gap (20), the roll (6) having the smaller diameter is supported by an additional back-up roll (5) of larger diameter. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Formen eines Flansches oder dergleichen, insbesondere am Ende eines dünnwandigen Metallrohres (10), mit zwei einen Spalt (20) bildenden sowie mit einer Zustelleinrichtung (22, 24) gegeneinander drückbaren Walzen (6, 15), die einseitig gelagert sind und denen eine Antriebseinrichtung (30) zugeordnet ist, hat zumindest die eine (6) der beiden den Walzenspalt (20) bildenden Walzen (6, 15) einen so kleinen Durchmesser, daß mit der mittels der Zustelleinrichtung (22, 24) aufbringbaren Kraft die den Flansch bildende Endzone auf eine geringere Wandstärke auswalzbar ist. Die den kleineren Durchmesser aufweisende Walze (6) ist auf der dem Walzenspalt (20) abgewandten Seite von einer zusätzlichen, im Durchmesser größeren Stützwalze (5) abgestützt.
