[origin: EP0429953A2] The condenser contains a stack of heat-exchange plates which are stacked at a mutual spacing and which have cavities open on two sides located opposite one another. During operation, cooling air flows through the cavities, whilst processed air flows through the spacings essentially in cross-current with the cooling air. To simplify the construction of such a condenser and, independently of this, to prevent sealing problems and ensure suitability for fully automatic production, the plates are formed essentially from a plastic frame resembling a concave grating and having plastic sheets which form the condensation surfaces and which bear sealingly against all the surfaces of the frame which separate communication between the cavities and spacings. <IMAGE>
