Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH03182354A] PURPOSE: To guarantee an effective vibration absorption in an area of a cylinder gap by dividing a gap strip into individual areas by a slit extended laterally, and allocating the slit of a longitudinal direction to the area so that a profile of the strip is elastically jumped up at the time of bringing two gap strips into contact with one another. CONSTITUTION: Slits 15, 16 of a longitudinal direction are allocated to individual areas in the longitudinal direction of a gap strip 7, and respective lengths are calculated according to a predetermined supporting pressure. A slit 13 extended in a lateral direction is brought into contact with the slit 15 of the longitudinal direction, and hence a profile 17 of the strip 1 can be elastically jumped up by itself. At a terminating area 18, the slit 16 of the longitudinal direction is longer than an intermediate of the strip 7, and hence a supporting pressure is lowered. The profile 17 can be self-adapted to a warp of a cylinder. Since two cooperative gap strips 7, 11 are projected before a midline of the two cylinders 1, 3, the pressure is accumulated before tee cylinder gap so that a disadvantageous vibration is avoided.
