The invention relates to a sump (1, 3) for an internal combustion engine, with a flat base part (1) and a deep tank section (3) as oil sump and an intake pipe (4) of an oil pump immersed in the deep tank section. <??>It is proposed according to the invention that the deep tank section (3) be designed as a removable oil can. The oil change can thereby be performed rapidly and without harm to the environment without draining off the oil since all the oil is received by the oil can. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Ölwanne (1, 3) für eine Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem flachen Bodenteil (1) sowie einem tiefen Wannenabschnitt (3) als Ölsumpf und einem in den tiefen Wannenabschnitt eintauchenden Saugrohr (4) einer Ölpumpe. Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, daß der tiefe Wannenabschnitt (3) als abnehmbarer Öltopf ausgebildet ist. Der Ölwechsel kann somit schnell und umweltfreundlich ohne Ablassen des Öles ausgeführt werden, da das gesamte Öl vom Öltopf aufgenommen wird. <IMAGE>
