[origin: EP0430070A2] The milling machine for carrying out the method for simultaneous longitudinal profiling of glazing bars has a horizontal workpiece table (1) and lateral guide strips (13, 14) arranged on both sides of a vertical longitudinal mid-plane (E-E) of the machine and bearing on opposite vertical faces (R1, R2) of the wooden blank (R) to be profiled or on milled vertical faces of the profiled glazing bar (S). A feed unit (23) acts from above on the wooden blank (R) or the glazing bar (S). Vertical milling spindles (3, 4), each carrying one milling-tool set (5, 6), are mounted on two opposite sides of the longitudinal mid-plane (E-E). Provided downstream of each milling-tool set (5, 6) on both sides of the longitudinal mid-plane (E-E) is in each case one horizontal guide strip (19, 20) which extends in the feed direction (V) and has an upwardly directed horizontal guide face which is arranged vertically spaced from the bearing face and on which the glazing bar (S) can be supported with in each case one inner face, directed downwards towards the bearing face, of its glass cheek. <IMAGE>
