A railway freight car (1) for bulk material for operation on a railway line with a stipulated limiting profile (27) which indicates the maximum allowed width and height of the freight car, the maximum allowed width decreasing in an uppermost region of the limiting profile with increasing height above the rail upper edge. The freight car (1) has a storage container (2) which has two side walls (6) and, between these, in the region of the bottom of the storage container, a first conveying device (11) which conveys in the longitudinal direction of the storage container. In an end region of the freight car (1), there is arranged a second conveying device (21) which projects above the car end, can be put out laterally and rises upwards at an angle, the two conveying devices (11, 21) overlapping in the region of the delivery end of the storage container (2) for bulk material transfer from the first to the second conveying device. In order to achieve a great storage capacity and fully to utilise the allowed limiting profile, it is envisaged according to the invention that the storage container (2) runs upwards at an angle, the first conveying device (11) arranged in the region of the bottom of the storage container (2) rising upwards at an angle towards the delivery end (10) of the storage container (2), and that moreover the side walls (6) of the storage container (2) clearly extend into the uppermost region of the limiting profile (27) at least in the region of the delivery end (10) and are inclined inwards at an angle at the top at least in this region of the delivery end (10). <IMAGE>

Ein schienengängiger Transportwagen (1) für Schüttgut zum Betrieb auf einer Eisenbahnstrecke mit vorgeschriebenem Begrenzungsprofil (27), das die maximal erlaubte Breite und Höhe des Transportwagens angibt, wobei die maximal erlaubte Breite in einem obersten Bereich des Begrenzungsprofils mit zunehmender Höhe über der Schienenoberkante abnimmt. Der Transportwagen (1) weist einen Speicherbehälter (2) auf, welcher zwei Seitenwände (6) und zwischen diesen, im Bereich des Bodens des Speicherbehälters eine in Speicherbehälterlängsrichtung fördernde, erste Fördereinrichtung (11) aufweist. In einem Endbereich des Transportwagens (1) ist eine zweite über das Wagenende auskragende und seitlich ausstellbare, schräg nach oben ansteigende Fördereinrichtung (21) angeordnet, wobei die beiden Fördereinrichtungen (11,21) im Bereich des Austragendes des Speicherbehälters (2) zur Schüttgutübergabe von der ersten an die zweite Fördereinrichtung überlappen. Um eine große Speicherkapazität zu erzielen und das erlaubte Begrenzungsprofil gut auszunutzen, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß der Speicherbehälter (2) schräg nach oben verläuft, wobei die im Bereich des Bodens des Speicherbehälters (2) angeordnete, erste Fördereinrichtung (11) gegen das Austragende (10) des Speicherbehälters (2) hin schräg nach oben ansteigt, und daß weiters die Seitenwände (6) des Speicherbehälters (2) zumindest im Bereich des Austragendes (10) deutlich in den obersten Bereich des Begrenzungsprofils (27) reichen und zumindest in diesem Bereich des Austragendes (10) oben schräg nach innen geneigt sind. <IMAGE>
