[origin: CA2045476A1] The present invention relates to a wheel-chair of the type comprising two large carrier wheels (1) mounted on either side of a central frame of which one part supports a seat (3) and another part forms a foot-rest (4) provided with steering wheels (5). According to the invention, the rim (8) carrying the tyre (10) forms the outside ring of a peripheral ball bearing of which the inner ring (7), of large diameter, has no hub, shaft or spoke said frame (12a, 12b; 4) being assembled on either side to the inner ring (7) of a respective carrier wheel by releasable securing means.

La présente invention concerne un fauteuil roulant, du type comprenant deux grandes roues porteuses (1) montées de part et d'autre d'une armature centrale dont une partie supporte un siège (3) et une autre partie constitue un repose-pieds (4) muni de roues directrices (5). Selon l'invention, la jante (8) portant le pneumatique (10) constitue la bague extérieure d'un roulement périphérique dont la bague intérieure (7), de grand diamètre, est dépourvue de tout moyeu, arbre ou rayon, ladite armature (12a, 12b; 4) étant de chaque côté assemblée à la bague intérieure (7) d'une roue porteuse respective par des moyens de fixation libérables. <IMAGE>
