The invention relates to a die for extruding metallic materials, having a concavely tapered entry surface consisting of a shape-imparting die part of highly wear-resistant material and a supporting part of tough material. To avoid cracking and fractures and to reinforce the join between parts, it is proposed that the metallic bond surface (3) between the shape-imparting die part (1) and the supporting part (2) should be of three-dimensionally curved design. The die blank is manufactured by hot forging feed stock consisting of at least two materials, preferably by drop forging. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Matrize zum Strangpressen von metallischen Werkstoffen mit einer konkav-konisch ausgebildeten Einlauffläche, bestehend aus einem formgebenden Matrizenteil aus hochverschleißfestem Werkstoff und einem Stützteil aus zähfestem Werkstoff. Zur Vermeidung von Rißbildungen und Brüchen und zur Verstärkung der Verbindung der Teile wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Metallverbundfläche (3) zwischen formgebendem Matrizenteil (1) und Stützteil (2) räumlich gekrümmt ausgebildet ist.Die Herstellung des Matrizenrohkörpers erfolgt durch Warmschmieden von einem aus mindestens zwei Werkstoffen bestehenden Vormaterial, vorzugsweise durch Gesenkschmieden.
