[origin: DE3828947C1] A sealing head as described, in particular for glass containers (11) having an opening with a rectangular or polygonal edge (13), can be moved up and down by a punch (20) and has a flexible sealing zone (31, 32, 33) that contacts the edge of the opening of the container, as well as heating elements (46). The heating elements (46) of the sealing head are located below the plane of the sealing zone, preferably a short distance below the sealing zone, surrounding the edge of the opening of containers in contact with the sealing zone. In a preferred embodiment, the sealing head has an upper part (18) and a lower part (19), the flexible sealing zone (31, 32, 33) is located between the upper and lower parts and the heating elements (46) are arranged in the lower part (19). The upper and lower parts of the sealing head are advantageously held constantly together by pressure springs (41). The sealing zone preferably is composed of a wire cloth (31) that contacts the sealing closure of the container, of a layer of polytetrafluorethylene (32) arranged on the wire cloth, as well as of a disk of polymer material (33) arranged on said layer.

La tête de scellement décrite, notamment pour récipients en verre (11) ayant une ouverture avec des bords rectangulaires ou polygonaux (13), peut être levée et abaissée par un poinçon (20) et comprend une zone flexible de scellement (31, 32, 33) qui entre en contact avec les bords de l'ouverture du récipient, ainsi que des éléments chauffants (46). Les éléments chauffants (46) de la tête de scellement sont agencés au-dessous du plan de la zone de scellement, de préférence légèrement au-dessous de la zone de scellement, entourant ainsi les bords des ouvertures des récipients en contact avec la zone de scellement. Selon un mode préféré de réalisation, la tête de scellement comprend une partie supérieure (18) et une partie inférieure (19), la zone flexible de scellement (31, 32, 33) est située entre les parties supérieure et inférieure et les éléments chauffants (46) sont agencés dans la partie inférieure (19). Les parties supérieure et inférieure de la tête de scellement sont maintenues constamment réunies avantageusement sous l'effet de ressorts de pression (41).
