[origin: EP0431317A1] A package for liquids is described which has tubular side walls (2, 3), an essentially flat bottom and flat top wall (9) and a closable pouring device (10) situated within the outer contour of the bottom and the top wall (9), all the parts of the package consisting of plastic. In order to provide a package which can be produced inexpensively as a mass product, is satisfactorily liquid-tight, easy to open, readily stackable and environmentally friendly, provision was made according to the invention for a seam (12) projecting from the side walls (2, 3) of the package to pass around the package in a plane parallel to the longitudinal mid-axis of the tube (1), for the seam (12) to be arranged extending in a depression (11) in the region of the bottom and the top wall (9), and for part of the depression (11) in the top wall (9) to surround the pouring device (10). <IMAGE>
