Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0432372A1] The cantilever shelf serves for the accommodation and storage of products, in particular made of wood, metal and the like, in elongate, plate-type or similar shape, and of pallets or similar crates provided with articles. The shelf consists of vertically arranged uprights (1), in particular in the form of profiles, into which horizontally projecting cantilevers (2) can be inserted detachably. For this purpose, the uprights (1) have at least one contact surface (3) which extends in the longitudinal direction of said uprights, is provided with openings (4) arranged at regular intervals, and on which the cantilever (2) rests with a supporting surface (5). The cantilever (2) has at least one claw (6) which projects over its supporting surface (5), is essentially of right-angled construction, whose free end (6.1) extends approximately parallel to the supporting surface (5), and which extends through one of the openings (4) when the cantilever (2) is inserted in the upright (1), thereby gripping with its free end (6.1) behind the edge of the opening (4). Seen in the longitudinal direction of the upright (1), the openings (4) have an elongate shape, the length of which corresponds essentially to the length of the free end (6.1) of the claw (6) on the cantilever (2). Projecting from the supporting surface (5) of the cantilever (2) is at least one pin (7) provided for engagement in an adjacent opening (4), the spacing between the claw (6) and the pin (7) being such that, when the cantilever (2) is inserted, the edges of the openings (4) form stops on both sides for the claw (6) and the pin (7), with the result that the displaceability of the cantilever (2) in the longitudinal direction of the upright (1) is blocked. <IMAGE>
