[origin: EP0432392A1] The invention relates to a key-operated lock having an additional electrically controlled lock-actuation barrier, for example an additional locking device, designed, for example, in the form of a lock cylinder, the key being a carrier of a mechanical key secret for the actuation of tumblers of the lock. To afford a large number of possible combinations, whilst at the same time ensuring a simple and functionally reliable design of the key secret, the invention proposes that the key be a carrier of electrical contacts (1) which are assigned an electrical resistor (3) as a further key secret, and that the lock have electrical contacts (2) which are assigned to these contacts (1) and which are associated with an electronic circuit (4) controlling the additional lock-actuation barrier. <IMAGE>
