In a container (1) for transporting and/or storing bulk products or liquids, consisting of a cylindrical container (2), which is closed by container bottoms (3, 4) mounted at its ends, and, surrounding these, two rectangular support frames (6, 7), on which the container (2) is supported, said container is connected in each case to the support frame (6, 7) via a transition piece (11, 12) which is closed all-round and is constructed in the form of a truncated pyramid. The truncated pyramids have a rectangular base surface (14), corresponding to the support frames (6, 7), and a cylindrical connection surface (15) adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the container (2). By this design, an even distribution of the forces to be transmitted from the container (2) to the support frames (6, 7) is achieved and no stress peaks occur, with the result that, utilising the constructional conditions, the container has a high degree of rigidity and damage is largely ruled out, even in the case of high loads. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Container (1) zum Transport und/oder zur Lagerung von Schüttgütern oder Flüssigkeiten, der aus einem zylindrischen Behälter (2) , der durch an dessen Enden angebrachte Behälterböden (3, 4) verschlossen ist, und zwei diese umgebende rechteckige Tragrahmen (6, 7), an denen der Behälter (2) abgestützt ist, besteht, ist dieser jeweils über ein rundum geschlossenes in Form eines Pyramidenstumpfes ausgebildetes Übergangsstück (11, 12) mit dem Tragrahmen (6, 7) verbunden. Die Pyramidenstümpfe weisen eine den Tragrahmen (6, 7) entsprechende rechteckige Grundfläche (14) und eine an die Querschnittsform des Behälters (2) angepaßte zylindrische Anschlußfläche (15) auf. Durch diese Ausgestaltung wird eine gleichmäßige Verteilung der von dem Behälter (2) auf die Tragrahmen (6, 7) zu übertragenden Kräfte erreicht, und es treten keine Spannungsspitzen auf, so daß unter Ausnutzung der baulichen Gegebenheiten der Container eine hohe Steifigkeit hat und auch bei hohen Belastungen Beschädigungen weitgehend ausgeschlossen sind. <IMAGE>
