Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a process for electrophoretically painting the inner surface of a rotationally symmetrical metallic vessel which is faster and employs less painting liquid than the known processes. For this purpose, an auxiliary electrode 7 matching the inner surface is introduced into the vessel 1 and the vessel 1 is rotated about said electrode 7 (axis of rotation 6). The arrangement may be tilted through an angle alpha (and then - alpha ) with respect to the horizontal. Only enough painting liquid should be used for its level to be above the centre points (11, 12) of the base 3 and of the side wall 2 of the tube. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum elektrophoretischen Lackieren der Innenwände von rotationssymmetrischen Metallbehältern, welche schneller und mit weniger Lackflüssigkeit als die bekannten Verfahren arbeitet. Dazu wird in den Behälter 1 eine der Wandung angepaßte Hilfselektrode 7 eingebracht und der Behälter 1 um diese rotiert (Rotationsachse 6). Die Anordnung kann gegenüber der Horizontalen um den Winkel α (und anschließend -α) gekippt werden. Dabei ist nur soviel Lackflüssigkeit zu verwenden, daß deren Spiegel die Mittelpunkte (11, 12) des Bodens 3 und der Seitenwand 2 des Rohrs übersteigt.
