The invention relates to a method for igniting the main gas supply to individual cutting torches which provide a fuel gas/oxygen or air flame and a cutting oxygen jet, with an ignition unit arranged inside each burner body and a separate ignition gas mixture pipe running from each burner inlet to close to the cutting nozzle, which pipes are connected to the cutting oxygen pipes. In order to provide a method and a device for ignition, which make it possible with justifiable expenditure in case of need to equip even an oxygen cutting machine provided with only a few cutting torches therewith, the removal of the ignition fuel gas and of the ignition oxygen from the supply pipes (14, 15) for the burner gas and the heating oxygen takes place close to the burner inlet (4). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Zünden der Hauptflammengase von einzelnen Schneidbrennern, die eine Brenngas-/Sauerstoff- oder Luftflamme und einen Schneidsauerstoffstrahl liefern, mit einer innerhalb jedes Brennerkörpers angeordneten Zündeinheit und einer von jedem Brennereingang bis in die Nähe der Schneiddüse verlaufenden separaten Zündgasgemischleitung, welche mit den Schneidsauerstoffleitungen verbunden sind. Um ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zum Zünden zu schaffen, die es mit vertretbarem Aufwand ermöglichen, im Bedarfsfall auch eine mit nur wenigen Schneidbrennern ausgerüstete Brennschneidmaschine damit auszustatten, erfolgt die Entnahme des Zündbrenngases und des Zündsauerstoffes aus den Versorgungsleitungen (14, 15) für das Brennergas und den Heizsauerstoff in der Nähe des Brennereinganges (4). <IMAGE>
