Abstract (en)
Dyeing auxiliary composition for leather comprises a polyoxyalkylene derivative of a condensation product of (a) one or more of polyalkylene (with 1 to 30 C) polyamines (n=1 to 20), alkyl or alkenyl amines with 1 to 30 C, aromatic amines, and primary or secondary alkanolamines; (b) an aromatic compound having hydroxyl (OH) group, alkyl group with 1 to 10 C or alkenyl group with 1 to 10 C, and (c) formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde. With this composition, any anionic dyes may be used for surface dyeing of surface of grain and penetration dyeing to the inner layer of grain irrespective of tanning methods. Anionic surfactant promotes dyeing.
