[origin: EP0433125A1] The present invention relates to a method for producing a sparkplug well and the sparkplug well element for implementing this method. The method according to the invention is characterised in that it consists in inserting and maintaining in a fixed position a tubular element (11) in the mould of a cylinder head (1) during the casting operation for the latter, the element (11) having a flange (11b) serving to position and maintain the element (11) in a sand core for forming the oil chamber (2) of the cylinder head (1).
