Abstract (en)
A sewing machine for sewing linking seams is suitable both for forward sewing and for reverse sewing. To form linking loops, a linking tongue is to be arranged in the region of the needle. For forward sewing, the linking tongue arranged on the needle plate points in the direction of transport. This linking tongue (32) for forward sewing and a linking tongue (34) serving for reverse sewing are formed on a disc-shaped tongue carrier (30) embedded in the needle plate (22). Via an adjusting mechanism (40-57), the disc-shaped tongue carrier (30) is brought into one of two specific working positions which correspond respectively to forward sewing and to reverse sewing. A sewing-material transport device is designed as a gripper transporter having an upper and a lower gripper (60, 62). The lower gripper (60) is guided over and beyond the tongue carrier (30) in a guide track (36) of the needle plate. <IMAGE>

Ein Nähautomat zum Nähen von Kettelnähten eignen sich sowohl zum Vorwärtsnähen als auch zum Rückwärtsnähen. Zum Bilden von Kettelschlaufen ist im Bereich der Nadel eine Kettelzunge anzuordnen. Beim Vorwärtsnähen weist die an der Stichplatte angeordnete Kettelzunge in Transportrichtung. Diese Kettelzunge (32) zum Vorwärtsnähen ist ebenso wie eine zum Rückwärtsnähen dienende Kettelzunge (34) an einem in die Stichplatte (22) eingelassenen, scheibenförmigen Zungenträger (30) ausgebildet. Über einen Verstellmechanismus (40-57) wird der scheibenförmige Zungenträger (30) in eine von zwei definierten Arbeitspositionen gebracht, die dem Vorwärtsnähen bzw. dem Rückwärtsnähen entsprechen. Eine Nähguttransporteinrichtung ist als Zangentransporteur mit einer oberen und einer unteren Zange (60, 62) ausgebildet. Die untere Zange (60) wird in einer Führungsbahn (36) der Stichplatte über den Zungenträger (30) hinweggeführt.
