[origin: EP0433623A2] To make a locking device for a leaf of a window, door or the like secure against break-ins, the bolt (4), pivotable, for example on the casement, in a plane parallel to the plane of the latter and interacting with a bolt slot formed in this case on the fixed frame, is connected to the push member (2) not directly, but indirectly. The force of the push member is transmitted directly to a so-called bolt guide (6), on which a blocking piece (7) is mounted pivotably and, within a dead-travel stage (10, 11), also displaceably. This blocking piece (7) is coupled to the bolt (4) via a pivot axle (9). Located on the blocking piece (7) is a blocking tooth (19) which interacts with a blocking toothing (20) on the inside of the face plate (1). This consists of saw teeth which cause a blocking of the movement when action is taken from outside on the bolt (4), located in its locking position, with the effect of a reverse pivoting movement (5). <IMAGE>
