[origin: EP0433740A2] The invention relates to a device for the administration of a multitude of vehicles driven by different users. To obtain quick, reliable administration of a multitude of vehicles using few personnel, a parking area (1) possessing an entrance (2) and an exit (2a) and having a data acquisition device for user access control is to be provided and also a receiving device (7, 7a) which is arranged in the region of the barrier (4, 4a) and receives vehicle operating data, such as mileage, tank contents, oil level and the like, transmitted from a transmitter fixed to the vehicle and informs a central control unit (10) which controls the barriers (4, 4a), the data acquisition device and the receiving device (7, 7a). With each entry and departure, all the operating data necessary for the beginning and end of a rental are thus communicated to the control unit (10), so that the settlement of the rental process can be dealt with by computer.
