Device for the vertical and automatic stacking of sheets, and for feeding cover plates onto the stacks consisting of sheets, using a single device for feeding the cover plates, it being possible to move the device for feeding the plates in an interference displacement located in the prestacking displacement so as to move up and down in a vertical plane, which interference displacement is determined by a lower insertion position on the fork of the lower cover plate and an insertion position of the upper cover plate on the finished stack. The stop for the cover plates and the upper end of the side parts of the displaceable carriage for the sheet stack are also arranged so as to be capable of moving backwards and forwards in a vertically arranged plane. Stacks are produced which have a relatively large stacking height with the same prestacking displacements. In addition, the efficiency of the stacking device is increased. <IMAGE>

Vorrichtung zum vertikalen und automatischen Stapeln von Boegen, sowie zum Zufuehren von Abdeckplatten auf die aus Boegen bestehenden Stapel, unter Verwendung einer einzigen Vorrichtung zum Zufuehren der Abdeckplatten, wobei die Vorrichtung zum Zufuehren der Platten in einer Vertikalebene auf- und abbewegbar in einem sich im Vorstapelhub befindenden Interferenzhub verfahrbar ist, der durch eine untere Einschiebelage auf der Gabel der unteren Abdeckplatte und einer Einschublage der oberen Abdeckplatte auf dem fertigen Stapel bestimmt ist. Auch der Anschlag fuer die Abdeckplatten und das obere Ende der Seitenteile des verfahrbaren Wagens fuer den Bogenstapel sind in einer vertikal angeordneten Ebene hin- und herbeweglich angeordnet. Bei gleichen Vorstapelhueben werden Stapel erstellt, die eine groessere Stapelhoehe aufweisen, ferner wird die Leistungsfaehigkeit der Stapelvorrichtung gesteigert. <IMAGE>
