[origin: EP0433815A1] In a method for the construction of a false-ceiling or a substructure therefor, to achieve greater working speed and at the same time improve the levelling accuracy, it is provided that the suspension wires (1) used be cut off by means of a levelling device to a free length corresponding to the height of the ceiling to be suspended, and that fastening elements (2) be then fastened thereto in such a way that the free wire ends (16) are brought to bear on a corresponding counterstop (15) of the fastening elements (2).
