A fluid actuator with locking means has a housing (1) with at least one pressure connection (7), a displaceable working piston (3) guided in a sealed manner in the housing (1) and having a piston rod (6), a locking piston (11) supported on a locking spring (35), and a ball locking mechanism (23) having balls (25) which can be moved radially in a cage - in the locking position into a locking groove (26) and in the release position into an escape groove (22). The working piston (3) can be acted upon adjacently to a working space (18) on an effective working surface (19) and the locking piston (11) can be acted upon adjacently to a release space (13) on an effective releasing surface (14), via the pressure connection (7). Provided between the pressure connection (7) and the working space (18) of the working piston (3) is a restrictor (17) with a restricting function which can be switched off with a time delay, whereas the release space (13) of the locking piston (11) can be acted upon without restriction via the pressure connection (7), with the result that, upon pressurisation via the pressure connection (7), the locking piston (11) leaves the locking position first of all and only then does the pressure build-up in the working space (18) take place.

Ein verriegelbarer Hydraulikzylinder weist ein Gehäuse (1) mit mindestens einem Druckanschluß (7), einem im Gehäuse (1) gedichtet geführten, verschiebbaren Arbeitskolben (3) mit einer Kolbenstange (6), einen auf einer Verriegelungsfeder (35) abgestützten Verriegelungskolben (11) und ein Kugelgesperre (23) mit in einem Käfig radial in der Verriegelungsstellung in eine Verriegelungsnut (26) bzw. in der Lösestellung in eine Ausweichnut (22) bewegbaren Kugeln (25) auf. Der Arbeitskolben (3) ist im Anschluß an einen Arbeitsraum (18) auf einer Arbeitswirkfläche (19) und der Verriegelungskolben (11) im Anschluß an einen Löseraum (13) auf einer Lösewirkfläche (14) über den Druckanschluß (7) beaufschlagbar. Zwischen dem Druckanschluß (7) und dem Arbeitsraum (18) des Arbeitskolbens (3) ist eine Drossel (17) mit zeitverzögert abschaltbarer Drosselfunktion vorgesehen, während der Löseraum (13) des Verriegelungskolbens (11) über den Druckanschluß (7) ungedrosselt beaufschlagbar ist, so daß bei Beaufschlagung über den Druckanschluß (7) zunächst der Verriegelungskolben (11) die Verriegelungsstellung verläßt und erst anschließend der Druckaufbau im Arbeitsraum (18) erfolgt.
