A gas-blast switch with a moving contact (7) and a fixed mating contact (12) is fitted with a piston blasting device (9, 10), a blasting nozzle (13), directed into the path of the switching arc, being provided from the blasting housing. In order to achieve effective blasting of the arc, with a simple construction, the blasting housing (1) surrounds the moving contact (7), the blasting nozzle pointing in the pivoting direction towards the mating contact (12) and surrounding the latter coaxially in the switched-on position. <IMAGE>

Ein Druckgasschalter mit einem beweglichen Kontakt (7) und einem feststehenden Gegenkontakt (12) ist mit einer Kolbenblaseinrichtung (9, 10) ausgestattet, wobei vom Blasgehäuse eine in den Weg des Schaltlichtbogens gerichtete Blasdüse (13) vorgesehen ist. Um bei einfachem Aufbau eine wirkungsvolle Beblasung des Lichtbogens zu erzielen, umschließt das Blasgehäuse (1) den beweglichen Kontakt (7), wobei die Blasdüse in Schwenkrichtung auf den Gegenkontakt (12) weist und denselben in der Einschaltstellung koaxial umschließt. <IMAGE>
