[origin: EP0434553A1] The plate-like heat exchanger is designed to allow heat exchange between a first and a second fluid. It consists of a housing (12) equipped with an inlet (26) and outlet (28) for the second fluid. A stack of plates (30) is arranged alternately in pairs inside the housing in such a way as to define the plates for the circulation of the first fluid and the plates for the circulation of the second fluid. Means of communication are provided between the successive pairs of plates. At least one partition (76, 78), arranged parallel to the plates inside the housing, is provided in such a way as to define at least two chambers into which the inlet (26) and outlet (28) open respectively. The partition incorporates an opening (86, 88) for the circulation of the second fluid from one chamber to the other. <IMAGE>
