Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0434937A2] A bistable switching device for an alarm clock has a push button (1), which moves in a push-button guide body (10) of the alarm clock against the effect of a spring device and is in each case locked into the other of its two stable switching positions whenever it is pressed down again. The locking takes place by the interaction of an operating element (2), which is fixedly connected to the push button (1), with a sliding surface control arrangement (7). The invention is characterised in that, on the one hand, the spring device consists of a spring arm element (3a, 3b) integrated into the push button (1), and in that, on the other hand, the sliding surface control arrangement (7) is itself constructed directly on the push-button guide body (10).
