Abstract (en)
The device permits identification and determination of the instant when a plurality of vehicles (4) pass a reference line (30). <??>It comprises a mobile station (1) installed on the vehicle and a fixed station (2) arranged at the edge of a race track (3). The fixed station (2) transmits a synchronisation signal at low frequency of period T, which is received by a mobile station (1) which in its turn transmits a series of signals of duration Tn situated at a predetermined rank with respect to the time, to, marking each period T start. Conjointly, the mobile station (1) allots, to each signal Tn an identification code which is unique to a defined mobile object. The signals received by the fixed station (2) are stored in a memory storing, for each signal, its absolute time, its assignment to a given vehicle (4) and its amplitude. <??>The device is used for motor vehicle races comprising a large number of contestants. <IMAGE>

Le dispositif permet l'identification et la détermination de l'instant de passage d'une pluralité de véhicules (4) sur une ligne de référence (30). Il comporte une station mobile (1) embarquée sur le véhicule et une station fixe (2) disposée en bordure d'une piste de course (3). La station fixe (2) émet un signal de synchronisation à basse fréquence de période T qui est reçu par la station mobile (1) laquelle émet à son tour une série de signaux de durée Tn situés à un rang prédéterminé par rapport au temps to marquant chaque début de période T. Conjointement, la station mobile (1) alloue à chaque signal Tn un code d'identification propre à un mobile déterminé. Les signaux reçus par la station fixe (2) sont stockés dans une mémoire mémorisant pour chaque signal son temps absolu, son appartenance à un véhicule (4) donné et son amplitude. Le dispositif est utilisé pour des courses de véhicules motorisés comportant un grand nombre de concurrents. <IMAGE>
