Abstract (en)

The invention relates to acoustic wave reflectors which operate at depth in the sea. <??>Space is provided for a sheet of air (8) between a reflecting plate (6) and a perforated plate (5). The sheet of air forms a reflecting interface with the reflecting plate. A rubber bladder (4) forms a reservoir which, under the effect of the water pressure, comes into communication with the sheet of air through the perforated plate. The thickness of this sheet of air is thus kept roughly constant up to the limiting depth to which the reflector is immersed. <??>The system makes it possible to increase the depth at which acoustic reflectors are used. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne les réflecteurs d'ondes acoustiques qui fonctionnent au sein de la mer. Elle consiste à ménager entre une plaque réfléchissante (6) et une plaque perforée (5) une lame d'air (8) qui forme avec la plaque réfléchissante une interface réflectrice. Une vessie en caoutchouc (4) forme un réservoir qui sous l'effet de la pression de l'eau vient alienter la lame d'air à travers la plaque perforée. L'épaisseur de cette lame d'air est ainsi maintenue sensiblement constante jusqu'à la limite d'immersion du réflecteur. Elle permet d'augmenter la profondeur d'utilisation des réflecteurs acoustiques. <IMAGE>
