[origin: WO9003483A1] A machine for handling floor-covering elements (11) comprising a carriage (2-6) with a magazine (8) to accommodate a pile of floor-covering elements (10), a feed-out device on the magazine for discharge of the elements, a conveyor (22, 23) adjacent the feed-out device (16) for displacement of the elements sequentially one by one from the magazine to a base (43). Upon operation of the machine the elements will be discharged from the magazine and advanced by the conveyor and deposited by the latter onto the base in a row while the carriage is moving. The conveyor is adjusted to the speed of travel of the carriage so that the conveyor means (27, 28) thereof run at a somewhat higher speed while being allowed to slide against the elements, whereby the progressively discharged elements will be pressed against the edge of the immediately previous element.

La machine décrite, qui sert à la manipulation d'éléments de revêtement de sol (11), comprend un chariot (2-6) pourvu d'un magasin (8) destiné à recevoir une pile d'éléments de revêtement de sol (10), un dispositif d'acheminement vers la sortie disposé sur le magasin et servant à décharger les éléments, ainsi qu'un transporteur (21, 23), adjacent au dispositif d'acheminement vers la sortie (16) et servant à déplacer les éléments séquentiellement l'un après l'autre du magasin sur une base (43). Lors du fonctionnement de la machine, les éléments sont déchargés du magasin et avancent sur le transporteur et sont déposés par celui-ci sur la base en une rangée pendant l'avance du chariot. Le transporteur est réglé sur la vitesse d'avance du chariot, de sorte que les organes transporteurs (27, 28) du chariot avancent à une vitesse légèrement supérieure tout en glissant contre les éléments, les éléments progressivement déchargés étant ainsi plaqués contre le bord de l'élément précédent immédiatement adjacent.
